Fulani Herdsmen Kill 100 in Plateau & Taraba in 3 Days
Suspected Fulani herdsmen are said to have killed at least 100 people between Saturday and Monday in Plateau and Taraba states.
Punch reports
that “Seventy of the deaths were recorded in Karim Lamido and Takum
local government areas of Taraba State and 30 in two villages at the
Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.”
Among those called were a pastor named Luka Gwom of the Church of Christ in Nation, three soldiers, and a newlywed woman.
The
herdsmen reportedly went on the killing spree because 400 of their cows
were stolen. However, 300 of the cows were found afterwards.
